Young Arab Voices Program

Brief

The Young Arab Voices regional program, since its launch in 2011, aims at providing opportunities, tools, and capacity building for the involvement of youth in running and managing effective debates for the purpose of enriching the pluralistic democratic dialogue existing in the Arab world.

Outcomes/Activities

1.206 students participated (102 Females, 104 Males) in training sessions on debating provided by Rasheed TI-JO, in eight Universities (4 public and 4 private)

2.Three Policy papers were prepared through this project on three different topics, tolerance and acceptance of the other, increasing efforts to increase women’s participation in political sector in Jordan, and finally, decentralization role on enhancing Integrity in Jordan.

3. Three debates were conducted in Zaha Culture Center, Princess Sumaya University for Technology and Zarqa Private University.

4.In 2017, a debate competition was held, in which14 universities participated (including 8 public and 6 private).
