Local Integrity System Project

Brief

A field study of municipalities which analyzed the policies institutions and processes of municipalities in terms of integrity and transparency. Among the deliverables was the development of participatory budgeting at the Municipality of Kferat in the Irbid Governorate, which analyzed and modelled women’s municipal priorities vis a vis those of men in a municipal setting.

Outcomes/Activities
  1. Rasheed TI-JO implemented a field study of municipalities which analyzed the policies institutions and processes of municipalities in terms of integrity and transparency. Among the deliverables: The Code of Conduct for the Mayor, Municipal Council, and Employees of Municipalities; and Complaint Handling Mechanism.
    2. The development of participatory budgeting at the Municipality of Naour Governorate, which analyzed and modelled women’s municipal priorities vis a vis those of men in a municipal setting.
    3. Community scorecards were utilized, local talent was sourced, local priorities were identified, and reflected in coordination with the central government budget priorities and process.
    4. Town-hall meetings were held to discuss with all stakeholders the results of the assessment.
