In January 2024, Rasheed for Integrity and Transparency (Transparency International – Jordan) initiated procedures to establish a specialized platform for receiving complaints in the Greater Irbid Municipality, this comes within the “Sharek” initiative, which aims to develop digital tools as part of the activities of the “Nazaha” project is co-funded by the European Union, and the Spanish Agency for International Cooperation and Development, and in Cooperation with the Jordanian Integrity and Anti-Corruption Commission and the Ministry of Political and Parliamentary Affairs.
The Nazaha project team held intensive training sessions to raise the competence of several employees of the Public Relations Department in the municipality, to enable them to optimize the handling of all complaints submitted to the municipality. This training aims to improve the staff’s abilities to address complaints effectively and timely, which contributes to enhancing interaction and communication between the municipality and citizens within the Greater Irbid boundaries.
This electronic platform reflects the commitment of the municipality and Rasheed to apply the latest technologies to improve and achieve the joint goals of developing digital infrastructure, improving the quality of municipal services provided to citizens, and providing an interactive environment that encourages community participation and promotes a culture of accountability and transparency in the management of public affairs.
