Rasheed for Integrity and Transparency Achieves Accreditation to Full National Chapter from Transparency International

Rasheed for Integrity and Transparency has just achieved accreditation to become a full national chapter of Transparency International – The Global Coalition against Corruption. This milestone is a major step towards consolidating its principles and reinforcing the pillars of good governance based on rule of law, research and watchdog coalition, with the aim to reach the vision of “Jordan anchored with a National Integrity System”.

Executive Director of Rasheed (TI-JO), Eng. Abeer Mdanat stated in this regard: “Receiving full accreditation from Transparency International – The Global Coalition against Corruption,  is quite an achievement for us today, and this is the outcome of our sustained efforts in anchoring the precepts of integrity, transparency and accountability, through the quality of projects implemented, which were based on good governance, supporting as a result, our communication capabilities with all segments  of the society, and encouraging Jordanians to embrace a National Integrity System that will rank Jordan on the global list of anti-corruption countries”.

Rasheed (TI-JO) has been a supportive contributor to the national priorities, as well as directing the compass towards the national goal. This has been translated into a Memorandum of Understanding with the Integrity and Anti-corruption Commission, and effectively contributing in the implementation of its strategy 2017-2025. Rasheed (TI-JO) also marked the investment and private sectors as priorities. Moreover, it presented an assessment report on the National Integrity System with the aim to strengthen the legal and institutional frameworks to support main organizational capabilities, adopting at the same time a national joint approach to achieve the common objectives.

On a regional and international level, Rasheed (TI-JO) has been cooperating and sharing expertise with regional and global organizations. It follows up on Jordan’s commitments in achieving target 16 of the Sustainable Development Goals SDG’s, as well as the country’s commitments in London Anti-corruption Summit 2016.

It is noteworthy to mention that Rasheed for Integrity and Transparency is the only official chapter of Transparency International in Jordan, which is a non-governmental civil society organization – based in Berlin (Germany), leading the fight against corruption of all kinds, and is the publisher of the CPI annual report, evaluating the corruption perceptions worldwide, and the Global corruption report, amongst others.
