Rasheed (Transparency International – Jordan) launched the Youth Integrity Forum 2025 under the patronage of His Excellency Dr. Muhannad Hijazi, Chairperson of the Jordan Integrity and Anti-Corruption Commission, with wide participation from youth across Jordan, all of whom are graduates of the Integrity Schools and Academy. The forum was attended by speakers and representatives from government entities, civil society organizations, and experts in governance and anti-corruption.
The forum aims to provide a platform for constructive discussion that brings together youth with representatives of government institutions, civil society, and experts, to promote a culture of integrity and accountability and expand their understanding of good governance issues within the national context. The forum also aims to develop practical, actionable recommendations to present to relevant stakeholders, contributing to the development of relevant public policies.
The forum sessions focused on three main themes:
- Sustainable Development Goal 16: Promoting peace and justice through building strong, transparent, and inclusive institutions.
- Governance of Information Technology and Media: Towards a responsible media environment for conflict management and anti-corruption.
- Political Parties Governance: Challenges and prospects for development.
This forum falls under the framework of the “Youth Integrity 2024–2025” project, supported with German Federal Foreign Office’s funds by ifa (Institut für Auslandsbeziehungen), Zivik Funding Program, in cooperation with the Integrity and Anti-Corruption Commission.
In his opening remarks, Mr. Hazem Al-Majali, Member of the Integrity and Anti-Corruption Commission Board, speaking on behalf of Dr. Muhannad Hijazi, emphasized the Commission’s deep belief in the role of youth in shaping a future free of corruption and a more just and equitable tomorrow. He noted that youth are not only the foundation of the future but also the drivers of change in the present and the unwavering voice of reform.
Engineer Abeer Mdanat, Executive Director of Rasheed, explained that Rasheed has been committed to supporting youth since the launch of the Integrity Schools project, and this forum reflects that ongoing commitment. It provides a safe space for youth to innovate and participate actively, and serves as a platform where they can present their recommendations and vision for a cohesive Jordan built on a national integrity system. She stressed that today’s youth are not just passive recipients but active partners in driving real change.
The Youth Integrity Forum is a culmination of an ongoing path to empower Jordanian youth and strengthen their capacities in the areas of integrity and anti-corruption, especially in light of the digital and social challenges they face. It aligns with Rasheed’s vision of engaging youth as real agents of change and active partners in building a future based on transparency, participation, and justice.
