Ajloun– Rasheed Integrity and Transparency (Transparency International – Jordan) launched today the second Integrity Summer School within the project “ integrity School and Academy 2022 (ISA) this unique project is supported by the German Federal Foreign Office and funded through the “zivik funding program of the Institut Für Auslandsbeziehungen (ifa)”, a German organization for international cultural relations, with the supervision of the Jordan Integrity and Anti-Corruption Commission.
Fifteen young participants from different governorates of Jordan will receive a seven-day training and scouting program that includes topics related to integrity, anti-corruption, human rights, democracy, conflict management, social accountability, and advocacy.
The school implement a modern program developed by “Rasheed” that combines training with scouting activities to enhance the individual responsibility and personal integrity of the participants, believing that the fight against corruption begins with building the capabilities of a generation that adopts the principles of integrity and human rights in daily life.
Furthermore, through Integrity school, “Rahseed” aims to enhance innovation and communication with different local communities by Involving youth in group food Preparing with locals in the governorates of Jordan, which stimulates creativity and the ability to accomplish with minimum time and effort.
Besides, “Rasheed” is keen to encourage participants to practice sports, sunrise meditation, and hiking in nature, accompanied by a professional scout team, which will help to promote the idea of prioritizing the team’s interest over personal interest, which will support the anti-corruption process and enhance their integrity values.
The “ISA 2022” project aims to build the capacity of young people, enhance their active participation in the application of democratic values and principles, and qualify them to engage and participate in the process of social accountability, by adopting societal issues in which the participants will research in depth to provide innovative solutions and recommendations that seek to solve these issues.
This project includes implementing four schools this year, and an academy that will provide three specialized training programs for the alumnus of previous integrity schools, these schools are twinned with the Integrity Schools organized by the national chapters of Transparency International around the world.
Rasheed (Transparency International-Jordan) aims to reinforce the involvement of the Jordanian citizen in anti-corruption activities, protect public, private, and local governance institutions against corruption, enhance the efficiency and independence of control agencies specialized in the area of anti-corruption, strengthen the integrity of the legislative and judicial authorities, and reinforce the performance of Rasheed (Transparency International-Jordan) towards achieving its mission and vision.
